About...

Jean-Daniel is a nature lover and a photographer in his heart.

Grandson of a craftsman photographer, he studied classical music and theatre at college. His love for mathematics has led him to study in that field and he graduated with a bachelor degree in marketing research and later with an M.B.A. in marketing. JD has been a marketing specialist for more than 30 years. Needless to say, he prefers to be on the field, capturing nature's light.

Very young, he was given a brownie camera and started taking pictures. At the age of 16, JD acquired his first reflex camera with his economies... and had never stop shooting since then. Music and Nature are his main inspirations.

Always attracted to nature in Canada and in other countries, he has continued to perfect his craft in nature photography since the first click.

The foundation of his photography is in landscape, and JD has also extended his passion with Canadian wildlife photography. His love of traveling and his passion for photography have taken him to 3 different continents, North and South Africa, Europe and several locations in North America.

More than anything else, Canada’s natural beauty, diversity and grandeur attract him the most. And for the later years, JD has spent time photographing Western Canada and South Western US on a regular basis.

His field teachers were Mike GrandMaison, Darwin Wiggett and lately he has followed a few trainings with Art Wolfe.

JD offers his photographs as fine art prints and his work is sometimes displayed in art exhibitions and in national magazines. In a continuous photography evolution, JD always keeps on learning; he has been and is continuing to be studying photography with Art Wolfe.

JD occasionally leads landscape photography tour-training in western Canada, eastern Canada and in the South Western US. You can find more information regarding photography training in the .
